CPW's Fall Fling 2016 Mopar Car Show at Woodley Park

Saturday was our semi-annual visit to Woodley Park in Van Nuys, Ca for the Mopar Fall Fling. Our friends at Chrysler Performance West host this event each fall and it attracts Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth enthusiasts from all over SoCal.

Poor weather over the weekend did damper the crowd and cars on Saturday, but the California Car Cover Crew still had a great time catching up with the Mopar enthusiasts. Here are a few photos we took during the Fall Fling.

Check back with us next week with California Car Cover's post SEMA Show event coverage and more.

The final event of the California Car Cover Show Series was the Parking Lot Sale, Swap Meet and Show this past Saturday. This free event is a casual get together for local friends and customers and wraps up the shows we host for 2016.

The California Car Cover Parking Lot Sale Tents.

The main attraction for the day is our annual parking lot sale. We have to make room for holiday merchandise each fall, so we empty our warehouse of open box, seasonal and discontinued items. Our 8th annual event did not disappoint any local customers looking for some great savings.

Another big draw for the Parking Lot Sale is the California Car Cover show trailer. The trailer is packed with old stock and open box car covers that we discount at the sale.

We had a handful of local customers participate in our swap meet.

The Mel-Tones played blues and classic rock songs during the show for the enjoyment of local customers.

The Habit Burger Truck was on hand to serve tasty burgers and onion rings to show participants and customers.

Each car show we host always has a great charity raffle. The Fall Car Show did not disappoint with many great prizes available thanks to our sponsors. All the proceeds from the raffle were donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Our generous event supporters and sponsors.

Thank you to everyone that attended the parking lot sale, swap meet and show at California Car Cover. We look forward to hosting another great series of events in 2017. We will announce those event dates by January 2017.

8th Annual California Car Cover Parking Lot Sale is Just a Few Weeks Away

On Saturday, October 8th California Car Cover will host our 8th Annual Parking Lot Sale and Swap Meet. It is a great opportunity to save money on open box car covers, seasonal merchandise and discontinued items at our headquarters in Chatsworth, Ca.

As always, we will have a local customer and business swap meet during the sale. Stop by and see what our friends and local customers dig out of their garages. The parking lot sale and swap meet is from 7am-12pm. For more information about the swap meet, please contact Steve at California Car Cover.

Something new for this year to make the Sale and Swap bigger and better is the addition of a car show as part of the event. "For the past few years we have held our Parking Lot Sale and Classic GM Car Show on back to back weekends," said California Car Cover's Tony DeFrank. "Unfortunately, we have so many other weekend event and show commitments this fall we had to combine the events into one Saturday. We think hosting a car show, swap meet and parking lot sale on the same day will make it a pretty unique event for California Car Cover and our customers."

The car show will be from 9am-2pm at California Car Cover. It is open to all makes and models of custom cars and classics. The show is free to participate, but parking is limited at California Car Cover. Like all of the car shows at California Car Cover, there will be a charity prize raffle and a detailing seminar courtesy of eco-shine auto reconditioning.

For the latest news on the Parking Lot Sale and Swap Meet visit our Facebook event page.

4th Annual Classic GM Car Show at California Car Cover

This past Saturday was our 4th Annual Classic GM Car Show. It was the last event of the season at California Car Cover and we had a great time with all of the classic car owners who joined us at the show.

A number of cars from local car clubs attended the show. We had The Habit Burger Truck on hand serving up burgers and fries, plus a great sale booth for customers to score some deals on collectibles and more. Our friends from 100.3 The Sound LA came out to the show with their mobile Uncle Joe's Garage. Local radio host and automotive enthusiast, Joe Benson, was on hand to take photos, sign autographs, and talk cars.

Our events would not be possible without the support of our great suppliers and vendors. These companies provide us with great raffle and door prizes for our guests. With their support, we were able to raise over $2000 this past year to support local charities, such as Rancho San Antonio Boy's Town, Movember, and the SFV Rescue Mission.  Thank you to everyone that attended or support our 2015 Car Show Series and we will see you again in 2016.
