GM Muscle Car Show at California Car Cover

Our GM Muscle Car Show took place this past Saturday at California Car Cover. It was the second event in our 2014 Car Show Series. The show attracted a number of classic and late model General Motors muscle cars to our event.

There were plenty of Gen5 Camaros at the show from Southern California Camaro clubs.

Just one of the handful of clean Chevy Nova vehicles at the show.

There were also a number of great looking Chevy Chevelles on display at the car show.

The show brought out all years of GM vehicles, including a few 1950's era Chevys.

One of our local customers Chevy Camaro COPO edition got a lot of attention when it was fired up.

Our friends from Cal West Radiator were on hand

It was another busy day in our unique retail store.

The free car show was also able to raise money for local charities. Our great vendors donated amazing door prizes that we gave out and raffled to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project and the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission. We were able to raise $250 for these charities on Saturday.

We received great donations from many companies, such as Race Ramps, Merrick, Bravo Sports, Shop Vac, Dr. Color Chip and many others. Below are some of the great companies that donated prizes to our GM Muscle Car Show:

The team at the Keep on Grubbin' Food Truck served up lunch to the attendees.

Stay connected with California Car Cover on our main website or Facebook page. Our next event will be our 3rd Annual Hot Rod Cruise Night on Wednesday, August 13th. Hopefully, we will see you there.

1967 Chevy Nova From Our November Catalog

We traditionally select red or green vehicles to feature on the November and December catalog covers to maintain a Christmas feel. I was at a local show looking for a cool, red vehicle for one of the California Car Cover catalogs when I came across a very cool 1967 Chevy Nova. I have been a big fan of the Chevy Nova for many years and have one at home in my garage, though it is not as trick as this one.
The car owner, Ricky Woolstenhulme, and I began talking and scheduled a time for him to bring the car over to the studio. I thought the Viper Red paint would look great on our catalog cover. I was glad that we could fit the photo shoot into his schedule as he is on the road quite a bit. Ricky plays drums in the rock band Lifehouse and is often on tour.
Here are some of the photos from the time at our studio. The Chevy Nova has a small block Chevy engine, Ride Tech air ride, Viper Red paint and large Billet Specialties wheels.

Thank you to Ricky for stopping by the studio with the Nova. For more photos of this vehicle, and all the vehicles featured on our holiday catalogs, please see our Facebook or Flickr page.
