2017 Ford Escape Custom Fit Vehicle Protection and Auto Accessories from California Car Cover
California Car Cover recently added a 2017 Ford Escape to its fleet, so of course we had to outfit it with some accessories to protect it while on the road. We don't know how to paint or customize cars, but we sure know how to protect vehicles and keep them looking new for long as possible.
The first step was to improve the interior protection of the Ford Escape. By upgrading the vehicle's floor mats, we were able to better protect the factory interior from dirty shoes and spills.
We selected a set of Lloyd Mat Ultimat custom fit carpet floor mats for the 2017 Ford Escape. These plush carpet floor mats are custom fit for the vehicle. The mats are designed to not only look great, but provide comfort and protection.
The Lloyd Mat Ultimat floor mats are much larger and thicker than the Ford OE floor mats. The mats do utilize the factory mounting tabs to secure the floor mats in place. Lloyd Mat offers a variety of custom fit carpet and rubber floor mat options for the Ford Escape and 1,000s of other vehicles on the road.
To protect the rear floor carpet from messy kids (and employees), we selected a custom fit Weathertech Digital Fit floor liner. These molded liners have a raised edge to prevent dirt and grime from getting all over your vehicle. These liners will keep dirt and trampled snacks from transferring to the Ford Escape's interior.
A custom fit Weathertech cargo liner was also chosen to protect the trunk area of the Ford Escape. Need to protect your interior before a trip to the beach, baseball practice or home improvement store? Make sure you pick up one of these liners beforehand.
Sunlight and harmful UV rays can damage your interior and increase heat inside the vehicle. We suggest a custom fit sun shade and dash cover to protect the interior of the Ford Escape.
The Ultimate Reflector Sun Shade is custom fit for the Ford Escape. This insulated sun shade has a reflective exterior layer to reduce heat to keep your interior, especially the steering wheel, much cooler. The folding sun shade installs in just seconds and is tailor made for your vehicle.
Protect your dashboard from fading and cracking with a custom fit Dash Designs dash cover. Dash Designs offers a variety of materials and color combinations for dash covers. We selected a Dashtex dash cover for the 2017 Ford Escape. The sporty style of the Dashtex material looks good inside the Ford Escape.
Now that we have the floor surfaces protected the next step is to protect the seating surfaces in the Ford Escape. The rear bench seat needed some protection from kids and pets, so we opted for a CalTrend custom fit rear bench seat cover in their NeoSupreme material. The CalTrend seat cover is custom fit for the 2017 Ford Escape. This seat cover features covers for the separate headrests and armrests, plus allows for access to the center armrest and inside mount seat belt for the middle seat. Custom fit seat covers are the best way to get a great fitting seat cover that does not sacrifice comfort, convenience or safety.
It took us about 30 minutes to install the CalTrend NeoSupreme rear bench seat cover in the Ford Escape. The seat cover provides a snug fit so it does not wrinkle or warp when used, but this means the covers do take a little time to install. The result though is a custom fitted seat cover that gives you an OE look and protection.
CalTrend offers a number of different seat cover materials and color combinations, so no matter what seat cover you are looking for, CalTrend likely has a cover for you.
To let some fresh air into the 2017 Ford Escape without too much wind or noise, we installed some Weathertech Side Window Deflectors. These deflectors install in just minutes and are a convenient way to reduce interior heat and improve air circulation.
Our last step was to outfit the 2017 Ford Escape with a custom fit California Car Cover. We selected one of our Superweave car covers for the Escape because of its ease of use and overall weather protection. The lightweight material is easy to handle and folds down small for taking to trade shows or on road trips. It provides excellent water resistance and UV protection.

June 10th Saturday Social Cars and Coffee Meet at California Car Cover
Our 3rd Saturday Social of the year was held on Saturday, June 10th at California Car Cover. A few of our local customers cruised over for our take on Cars and Coffee for a few hours to socialize with fellow auto enthusiasts. Here are a few photos from Saturday morning.
Thank you to everyone that showed up at today's Saturday Social. Our prize raffle helped us raise a few dollars for local charity and have some fun in the process. We hope to see more cars and people at the July 22nd edition.

Lots of Classic Cars at the Gilmore Heritage Auto Show and Pomona Swap Meet
| Classic cars lined up at the Farmer's Market in Los Angeles for the annual Gilmore Heritage Auto Show. |
It was another car show filled weekend in Southern California for the California Car Cover Crew. We could not make it to all the great events taking place this past weekend, but we were able to attend the Gilmore Heritage Auto Show and Pomona Swap Meet.
The Gilmore Heritage show takes place at the landmark Farmer's Market in Los Angeles. It is not a huge event as only about 100 cars can participate due to space and parking limitations at the Farmer's Market. But what it lacks in size, the Gilmore Heritage Auto Show makes up for in variety of cars and a unique location for a car show.

Car fill the streets and sidewalks that run through the famed Farmer's Market. With the Gilmore family ties to Southern California, and this neighborhood in particular, it is the ideal setting for a classic car meet.

The Gilmore Adobe is open to the public during the show and some vintage Gilmore vehicles and sprint cars are always on display. The car show is always a hit with attendees because of its location. Right in the heart of the Farmer's Market there is a ton of entertainment options for participants there and at the neighboring Grove shopping center.

There was no rest for the California Car Cover Crew as bright and early the next morning we were off to the Pomona Fairplex for the June installment of the Pomona Swap Meet. It was another crowded day at the fairplex as people and cars were cruising the facility all day. It took a few hours for the haze to where off, but as soon as the sun came out, so did the people.

Austin Speed Shop's 1932 Ford Hill Country Flyer Roadster
The May edition of the California Car Cover catalog featured a custom 1932 Ford Roadster built by the team at Austin Speed Shop. The '32 Ford was brought out to Southern California this winter to complete for the title of America's Most Beautiful Roadster at the prestigious Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, Ca. Though it did not win the award, the Hill Country Flyer got a lot of attention thanks to its incredible details and beautiful paint work. Thank you to photographer Tim Sutton for supplying some great photos of this vehicle.
Gary Howard applied the custom mixed "sunrise cinnamon" paint that really shines when out in the sun.

Of course, we had to show off just one photo of the roadster covered in a custom California Car Cover. Glad we could help keep the Hill Country Flyer clean with one of our Plushweave car covers until it was ready to be unveiled at the Grand National Roadster Show.
