August 2014 Pomona Swap Meet Photo Highlights

The California Car Cover Crew was at the August edition of the famous Pomona Swap Meet bright and early yesterday. It was a packed house from open to close. I did not get a lot of time to cruise the Pomona Fairplex, but here are some photos of the cool and unique vehicles I spotted at the show.

The sun was still rising as customers stopped by the California Car Cover booth to talk car care.

Being on the main aisle at Pomona means that I get to see all of the great classic cars, hot rods, lowriders and muscle cars as they enter and exit the Fairplex. You can always count on a wide range of vehicles being driven around the Pomona Swap Meet.

The Car Corral was packed with classic cars. Whether you were looking for a finished vehicle, like this 1957 Chevy, or a project car there was something at the swap meet for you.

It was a great day at the Pomona Swap Meet. Thank you to everyone that stopped by our booths to talk car covers. We will be back at the swap meet in October, so we hope to see you there.

August Supercar Sunday in Woodland Hills, Ca

The California Car Cover Crew was at Supercar Sunday in Woodland Hills this past Sunday. Due to other show commitments, we have not had too many chances to setup and talk cars with our friends at customers at SCS this year. The weather was not great on Sunday, but we were still there to talk car care with the attendees. 

The marque for this month's Supercar Sunday was Micro Cars. There were plenty of Triumphs, MGs and Subarus like the 360 pickup and van shown above.

The main attraction was Micro Cars, but as usual, there were still plenty of other exotics, classics and muscle cars on display. The Westfield Promenade has plenty of parking for all types of custom cars.  It was a nice morning to grab a cup of coffee at the Corner Bakery Cafe and check out all of the vehicles.

1955 Chevy Handyman Wagon from our August Catalog Cover

The August edition of our California Car Cover catalog featured a 1955 Chevy Station Wagon. From a distance, this Chevy wagon looks pretty standard, but when given a second look you will notice a few subtle changes.

This Chevy is not a standard station wagon, but a 210 Handyman Wagon. The owner, Phil Dolman, finished the wagon with 1955 Chevy passenger car trim and inserts.

The wagon also received Chevy Nomad tail gate skin and a shaved gas door.

The wagon has custom black and grey interior. Phil also replaced the stock front seats with Chevy Corvette bucket seats.

Under the hood is a Chevy 350-385 Fastburn crate engine to give the wagon plenty of power.
