6th Annual Summer Cruise Night at California Car Cover

Last Wednesday night was the 6th Annual Summer Cruise Night at California Car Cover. This annual event packs the parking lot at our headquarters in Chatsworth with some hot rods, muscle cars and classics. Thank you to everyone that drove over to support our get together.

The show officially kicked off at 5pm but the front lawn was already filled with some great muscle cars and classics in the late afternoon. Our friends from US 99 were on hand playing classic rock and blues for people enjoyed the show and shade out front. 

The great staff of Woody's Grill was there serving their killer tacos, sliders and burritos to show attendees.

Thank you to all attendees and event sponsors who made the show possible. It was a great evening to get together to raise money for a local charity. All proceeds from our charity raffle are donated to Friends and Helpers, a local non profit organization.

2017 Car Show Calendar at California Car Cover

Our 2017 car show schedule for California Car Cover is here. Each year we try to bring our local friends and customers unique ways to get together and grow the classic car community. This year we have some new events to get more people an opportunity to meet and hang out with us at our headquarters in Chatsworth, Ca.

For the past few years, we have had specific car shows on a handful of Saturdays at our store. We've had classic Ford days, muscle car day or Camaro day to name a few. Instead of those marquee days of the past, this year we will host Saturday Socials. These will be casual "Cars & Coffee" type get-togethers on select Saturdays this spring-fall. The free events will be low key social hours to meet with like minded men and women who are passionate about their cars, no matter what they drive. The events are open to all makes and models of new or classic cars.

We will host coffee and donuts in the morning, plus see what type of special cars or guests we can get to show up for each social. More details on each event will be posted to the California Car Cover Facebook page.

The largest event we host each year has become the annual European car show. This event attracts late model European cars from all over California to Rancho San Antonio in Chatsworth, Ca. We host this event along with Bernie Chacon, of dubNation Events. Last year, we had over 600 cars in attendance and look to make the event bigger and better in 2017. EURO17, as it is called, is a charity fundraiser for our friends at Rancho San Antonio, a nonprofit group, around the corner from California Car Cover. Wednesday, August 16th will be our 6th Annual Summer Cruise Night. When the suns goes down, cruise over to California Car Cover for our yearly parking lot party. The free show is open to all makes and models of custom cars. We always have a live band and local vendors. Last year, we packed the house, so expect a good time with friends, classic cars and rock n roll.

The last Saturday Social of 2017 will coincide with our 9th Annual Parking Lot Sale. Each year, we empty the warehouse to make room for seasonal and holiday merchandise. It's a great chance to save money of open box, old stock and closeout merchandise. Mark your calendars if you need to stock up on car covers and garage items. Always a local customer favorite!

5th Annual Summer Cruise Night Just 2 Weeks Away

Our 5th Annual Summer Cruise Night is just two weeks away. On Wednesday, August 10th we will be having our yearly parking lot party at the California Car Cover headquarters in Chatsworth, Ca. The event is open to all makes of custom cars and hot rods. It is open to the public and free to attend.

"This annual event is something our friends and customers look forward to each August. It is a great evening to see some cool cars and socialize with friends and customers," said Jim DeFrank, California Car Cover's President. "It's a free community event that only lasts a few hours, but it is definitely worth the trip."

Cruise over to California Car Cover from 5pm-9pm. This year's Cruise Night will again feature live classic rock from Dave & the Mel-Tones, local vendors and a charity prize raffle.

4th Annual Summer Cruise Night

Last night was the 4th Annual Summer Cruise Night at California Car Cover. It is our annual summer block party with local friends and customers. Another heat wave just kicked off in Chatsworth, so a big thank you goes out to everyone that put up with the heat until the sun went down.



The event attracted a number of classics, muscle cars and hot rods to our parking lot for a free evening of classic cars and classic rock. Our friends from the Meltones, played oldies and classic rock hits all night long in the parking lot. Our charity raffle raised nearly $300 dollars for the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission. And best of all, it was a free event to promote the love of classic cars in the community.

Thank you to all of our sponsors who donated great products to our raffle and to our colleagues at 100.3 The Sound for taking some great photos at the show.

Even though it was hot until the sun went down, plenty of car nuts filled the California Car Cover parking lot.

Our friends from the Classic Chevys of Southern California brought out a large group of classic Chevy automobiles.

While classic Chevys took over the back parking lot, the front lawn featured a nice group of classic Fords.

Our friends from the Carnival Food Truck served up deep fried Twinkies and Pop Tarts all evening.

Event attendees love our charity raffle. It is a huge draw to each event we host and we could not do it without the support of our great vendors and sponsors. Below are some of the companies that donated products to our raffle. All proceeds of raffle ticket sales will be donated to the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission.

Another Summer Cruise Night comes to an end.

Dates Announced for the 2015 California Car Cover Car Show Series

Mark your calendars because the 2015 Car Show Series is back at California Car Cover. We have a handful of events that just about any auto enthusiast can get excited about this year. Hopefully, you can make it out to one or all of the car shows this year at California Car Cover.

The 4th Annual European Car Show will be held on Saturday, April 4th. The event has continued to grow year after year and even exceeded capacity at CCC last year. For 2015, our friends at Rancho San Antonio, a non-profit school and campus, are going to let us use their beautiful facility to host the show. Rancho San Antonio just around the corner on Plummer St. and is walking distance from California Car Cover. This venue change will allow us to bring in more cars, spectators and vendors.

We hope to see many local European Car enthusiasts at the event.

Another popular event for the past few years has been the Annual Summer Cruise Night. This will be our 4th year for hosting a cruise-in at California Car Cover. As soon as the sun goes down, drive over to our store for a fun evening open to classics, customs and hot rods Wednesday, August 12th from 5pm-8pm.

The 7th Annual Parking Lot Sale and Swap Meet will be held on Saturday, October 10th. Clear out some garage space by participating in our annual swap meet. Plus, our popular parking lot sale tents always have huge savings on open box car covers, seasonal items, discontinued products and much more. Stop by California Car Cover between 7am-12pm for this event.

The last event of the Car Show Series of 2015 will be the 4th Annual Classic GM Car Show on Saturday, October 17th. Cruise over to California Car Cover from 8am-2pm for a laid back event for everyone who appreciates classic Chevy, Cadillac, Buick, Pontiac and GMC vehicles. The event is free to attend and will include a charity raffle.

3rd Annual Summer Cruise Night at California Car Cover

Last night was the 3rd Annual Summer Cruise Night at California Car Cover. This midweek get together has become one of the more popular shows we host during the year. We always host the Cruise Night on a Wednesday evening in August, so once the suns start going down, the classics come out at CCC.

Many of our friends from the Classic Chevys of Southern California were in attendance.

The Cruise Night is open to all makes of classic cars and customs. This means we always get a nice mix of old or new muscle cars, hot rods, customs and much more.

Our rear parking lot was filled with a number of custom cars and trucks.

The front lawn at California Car Cover was packed with custom cars all evening. Well before the official 5pm kickoff last night, the front lawn was at capacity with some great muscle cars and hot rods parked on the grass.

The Summer Cruise Night is free to attend. We do not charge car owners or the general public any fee to participate in the event. It is just one of the events that we enjoy hosting each year to build the automotive enthusiast community. The show is a great chance to meet and interact with friends and customers.

The Summer Cruise Night could not be possible without the help of our great vendors. We had a great prize raffle that helped us raise a few hundred dollars for the Prostate Cancer Foundation and Chatsworth High School's Football program. Raffle prizes from ACME Diecast, Intro-Tech Automotive, Deltran Battery Tender, Fairfield Collectibles, Race Ramps, Caravan Canopy and many others all contributed prizes to the show.

The crew at The Lobos food truck served up killer burgers and waffle fries all night long.
