This past weekend, the California Car Cover Crew headed down the 5 freeway for our annual stop at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. We always look forward to this weekend in sunny San Diego County. The Goodguys Meguiar's Del Mar Nationals car show attracts over 2,000 customs, classics and hot rods to the fairgrounds for three days of cruising, showing and auto-crossing. We had a great time catching up with our customers from the local area. Here are some photos from our weekend in Del Mar.

The cacklefest always attracts a crowd of people to watch some nostalgia dragsters fired up.
Saturday features special parking areas for a variety of vehicle styles. This is a photo of the '32 parking.
The main drag at the Del Mar Fairgrounds is meant for cruising. All day Saturday you would find customs and classics driving around the fairgrounds.
Sunday morning, the marque award winners are gathered around the main fountain outside of the horse track. Some of the finest cars from the show were all on display.
Sunday afternoon, all award winners are brought in front of the crowd to collect their awards from the weekend.

The 11th Annual Goodguys Nationals took place last weekend in Nashville, Tennessee. It was my first time at the car show and was the kickoff point for our annual summer road trip. The car show is held at Nissan Stadium, just across the water from downtown Nashville. The Music City is an ideal place for a Goodguys Car Show. With all of the music venues, museums, bars and restaurants just minutes from the car show, it is definitely worth the trip. Here are some highlights from my visit to the Goodguys Nashville Nationals.

The Auto Cross is always a popular destination for spectators. Professional and amateur drivers take their vehicles on timed laps around a road course.

The 16th Annual Goodguys Meguiar's Del Mar Nationals presented by American Racing took place this past weekend. The Del Mar Fairgrounds, just north of San Diego, was host to 2,000 muscle cars and hot rods. As usual, the California Car Cover Crew was on site to talk car care and check out some amazing cars for a few days.
Our friends from Hollywood Hot Rods brought our their '36 Ford Roadster that was a contender at this year's AMBR show.

Saturday morning the fairgrounds was filled with 1,000s of great looking hot rods like this Olds 88.

Sunday morning was pretty hazy, but that didn't deter any hot rodders or auto cross drivers from enjoying the car show.

Sunday morning, the Builder's Choice winner's circle featured a number of great classic cars and customs.
