Annual Gilmore Heritage Car Show at the Farmer's Market in Los Angeles

This past weekend featured a few car shows for California Car Cover and me. My first stop was the annual Gilmore Heritage Car Show held at the famous Farmer's Market in Los Angeles. The venue is a great setting for a classic car event. The Farmer's Market has been open since 1934 and is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. It is also adjacent to The Grove, one of the most popular shopping and tourist destinations in LA as well. The setting always attracts a crowd, so I was glad to be in town this year to attend the event.

The Gilmore family and Gilmore Oil Company have strongly rooted ties to the history of Los Angeles. From the Farmer's Market to Gilmore Stadium, the Gilmore name is synonymous with Los Angeles culture. The Farmer's Market website details the long history between the two.

Always nice to catch a California Car Duster in use.

Since it was my first time at the show, I was glad to find my way over to the Gilmore Adobe, which had some nostalgic Gilmore displays and midget race cars inside. There were also some cool classic cars parked over there too.

Check back in the coming weeks, as the California Car Cover Crew hits the road for its annual Summer Tour across the country.
