1965 Chevy C-10 & Silverado from the July 2014 Catalog Photo Shoot

The July 2014 California Car Cover photo shoot featured a pair of Chevy pickups that are built for work or play. The work truck is a 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab that we outfitted with custom seat covers, dash covers, floor mats and more. The play truck is a 1965 Chevy C-10 Pickup with many custom touches.

The C-10 was originally built by the Automotive Department of Cerritos College as an educational opportunity for the students called Project Lower Learning. It was taken to SEMA in 2012 to showcase the abilities of the students at Cerritos College.

The truck features a number of Mooneyes accessories inside, such as the red steering wheel and barefoot gas pedal.

In mid 2014, Gil Lara, the owner, took the truck to Kustoms Inc. in Anaheim, Ca for custom paint, pinstriping and renamed the truck "Rosie."

Slam Specialities air bags gets the truck on the ground. The truck features American Racing Smoothie wheels and Coker white walls.

Photos from Born Free 6 Motorcycle Show at Oak Canyon Ranch

This weekend was Born Free 6 motorcycle show at Oak Canyon Ranch in Silverado, Ca. California Car Cover was a sponsor of the event and was glad to see such a large group of motorcycles and bike enthusiasts.

This was the first year that Born Free used a two-day format to let more people check out the event and make getting in and out of Oak Canyon much easier on everyone. The promoters invited a number of respected bike builders from around the world to the event to showcase their craftsmanship. California Car Cover provided covers to keep the custom motorcycles clean overnight through the weekend. 

Harley-Davidson was one of the featured sponsors and had a number of new motorcycles on display.

The show attracted all types of motorcycles to Oak Canyon Park. Though most of the bikes were vintage Harleys and choppers, there were plenty of European bikes, touring bikes, track racers and much more. There were 1,000's of motorcycles covering the property on both days of the show.

The invited builders pavilion was the main attraction of the weekend. The 30 custom bikes commanded attention all weekend long. There were some incredible motorcycles on display.

That is a lot of motorcycles.

The midway was home to plenty of people checking out motorcycle related clothing and booths of the invited builders.

Oak Canyon Ranch has plenty of trees and shade to relax and beat the heat.

Many bikes were packed for a weekend on the road. Many riders came to Born Free from all over the country.

The show was two days, but the event was most crowded on Saturday afternoon. The venue was packed with two-wheeler all day on Saturday.

This Triumph was probably my favorite bike in the Builder's Pavilion. Clean and simple.
