Photos from Big SoCal Euro 2012 in San Diego, Ca

VW at Qualcomm Stadium
This past Saturday was the annual Big SoCal Euro Gathering at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, Ca. The event attracts around 2,000 European cars from all over Southern California, so it is a fairly large one day show. California Car Cover was not exhibiting at the show, but I cruised down there to meet up with some friends and customers. Here are some photos from the get together.

The show is open to all European cars new and old, though most of the vehicles were late model VW and Audi makes. There were still plenty of vehicles from Mercedes, BMW, and even Saab. A few classic VWs were parked here and there as well.

All Lined Up.

The show is free to everyone, so that always makes for a large crowd. There were plenty of exhibitors, a BMW test track and local food trucks. It is a great, no-hassle car show to meet up with friends and see some cool vehicles.

Our friend Bernie from dub-nation had his GTI on display at the HRE booth.

The event was sponsored by Falken Tire, GIAC, Mossy VW and many other companies that helped make the show possible.
One of the more popular events of the day was this contest put on my Mossy VW. The goal was to see how many people could fit inside of a new Volkswagen Beetle. Not sure what the contestants won or if it was worth it to be packed in a car full of sweaty people, but it was something to see.

Shiny BBS wheels.

I had a good time at the show. Do you like classics and muscle cars? If so, check back later this week for photos from the Mecum Auction in Anaheim, Ca. I stopped there to check out the cars on my down to Big SoCal Euro. For more information on California Car Cover, please check out our website.
