Shepherd of the Hills Car Show

This past Saturday was a busy day for California Car Cover. Our company was a sponsor of the 1st Annual Shepherd of the Hills Car Show in Porter Ranch, Ca. In addition, we hosted the Valley Classic Thunderbird Club at our store for a Golden Shine Car Care Seminar. We will have coverage from the seminar later this week on the blog.

We had been working with the crew at Shepherd to promote the event and were glad to see a nice turnout of cars and people on a Saturday in the San Fernando Valley. Shepherd of the Hills is a large church in our local community and they did a great job in promoting the car show and it attracted a wide variety of cars to their property.

Love Camaros? There will be plenty more just like this at our upcoming Camaro Car Show on Saturday, June 9th at California Car Cover.

The Shepherd property has plenty of parking so they had room for tons of cars. The parking structure provided plenty of shade all day for car owners.
The first floor was reserved for classic cars, muscle cars and hot rods. There were plenty of classic Fords, Chevys and many more on display. Up on the roof you could find a nice variety of classic trucks and motorcycles.
Chevy engine with plenty of chrome and polished aluminum.
Power for the hydraulics in the back of a lowrider.

Motorcycles on display on the top level.

The first floor of the parking structure was filled pretty early in the day. Once the sun came out it was the place to be to find some shade and relax with fellow auto enthusiasts.

The highlight of the show was the vintage dragster display. The race car drivers coordinated a Cackle Fest, where they fire the engines for the crowd to watch. There was a nice variety of vintage dragsters and altereds at the event.

Local cover band DC Overdrive performed classic rock music all day.

Large crowds gathered to watch the vintage race cars fire their engines.

The car show was a charity benefit for Imagine Water. All the proceeds from the show benefited the organization that aids in building wells in Africa. The show was for a good cause and brought attention to the Imagine Water project.

 Plenty of classic Chevy vehicles.

At the end of the day, the crowd gathered in the shade as the organizers noticed the award winning cars at the show. The event was well received and we look forward to supporting the event again next year.
Check back next week for additional highlights from local shows and events.
