Classic Chevy Show and Greystone Mansion Concours 2012

Early Sunday morning it was off to Rancho San Antonio for the Annual Classic Chevy Club of Southern California Car Show. Rancho San Antonio is in Chatsworth, right around the corner from our store. When I cruised over to the show there was already a line down the street of cars waiting to enter.
The club has been a long time supporter of our company and events, so our staff was on hand to talk car covers and car care.

It was a beautiful day in Chatsworth and the event drew plenty of classic cars from all over Southern California. Though it was the annual Classic Chevy car show, there were still plenty of other makes and models on display.

At the end of the day, the attendees gathering for the prize raffle and award presentations. California Car Cover donated some Golden Shine Car Care Kits to a few lucky winners. It was a great event and California Car Cover was proud to be on hand yet again. For more information on the Classic Chevy Club, please visit their website.
While the crew was working at the Classic Chevy Show at Rancho San Antonio I headed over the hill to check out the Greystone Mansion Concours. I have been to the show the last few years and it keeps getting better.

The Greystone Mansion is a unique setting for a classic car show. The property has plenty of lawns, ponds and turtles. The mansion is located in Beverly Hills. During the show, visitors can take a tour of the mansion which has been used in numerous television shows and movies. It was the residence of the Doheny family many years ago before being taken over by the city.

Acrobatic turtles in the reflecting pool.

Inside the house was a nice display of vintage bicycles. There were quite a few makes that I had not heard of before.

 1936 Elgin Skylark
The main staircase when you enter the mansion. The patio out back featured catering from Lawry's, plus a great view of Los Angeles.
 Bowling alley
Rolls Royce vehicles parked around the fountain
The fountain and lawn area had plenty of room for attendees to have a bite to eat and enjoy some shade.

There was also a nice collection of new and vintage motorcycles on display.
A lot of buzz before the show was given to this Husvarna that was previously owned by Steve McQueen.

The show attracted  A lot of vintage luxury cars and rare vehicles. Many of the vehicles on display were owned by California Car Cover customers. It was nice to interact with some good friends at a nice car show.
