The First Pomona Swap Meet of 2014

Classic Chevy early in the morning.

Yesterday was the first Pomona Swap Meet of the year. The weather was great, and as expected there was a huge crowd at the Fairplex in Pomona. The CCC Crew and I were out there nice and early to talk car care with local classic car enthuasiasts. I didn't have a lot of time to look for interesting and unique merchandise up for sale, but I did take a few photos of some cool cars on display.

1953 Chevy that was up for sale

This was an impressive pickup. This Chevy was recently completed and no expense was spared. Custom paint and interior, plus it had a Cadillac CTS-V engine under the hood.

Our friends from ICON Motors brought out one of their custom classic cars.

There were plenty of classic VWs at the swap meet.

Classic Chevys for as far as you could see.

Gone Fishing.

Rambler Convertible

As always, at the end of the day all of the great cars need to cruise passed the California Car Cover booth as they exit. Here are a few of the cool classics I was able to photograph.

Cruising Pomona Style.

We will be back at the Pomona Swap Meet for more classics and car care in March. Come back to our blog before that though. The CCC Crew will be at next week's Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona and we will post plenty of photos from the GNRS here.

Sunday Morning Get Together

Nice GMC Pickup with white walls.

I was not in the area for the Supercar Sunday Marquee event last weekend, but I was in Woodland Hills yesterday morning to check out some classic cars. There wasn't the big crowd that you find at the marquee Sunday, but I still spotted some cool classics and exotics. The weather was perfect to spend a few hours with some friends and customers. Here are a few photos from the weekly get together at the Westfield Promenade.

Whether you like new cars or old ones, SCS has something for everyone.
Check back next week as our event coverage for 2014 kicks off. The California Car Cover Crew and I will at the Pomona Swap Meet on Sunday where there is always plenty to check out. I hope to see many of our friends and customers there.

2014 Chevy Corvette C7 Stingrays from our January Catalog Cover

A 2014 Chevy Corvette with one of our Superweave car covers on it.

Our first catalog of 2014 features a pair of the hot 2014 Chevy Corvette C7s. We have a lot of great accessories coming out for the new Corvette at California Car Cover, so we were fortunate that some local customers already took delivery on their Vettes. We spent a few hours on a recent morning with these Corvettes and here are a few extra photos from the catalog cover shoot.

The 2014 Chevy Corvette is the ultimate American sports car. With 460hp under the hood and a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds, the Corvette can really move. Add that the vehicle can get up to 29 mpg on the highway and this Corvette is equally equipped for the race track or a road trip.

I was hoping that the car owners would let us take the Corvettes around the block (just for the sake of the blog of course), but they politely declined. Oh well, maybe next time...

The 2014 Chevy Corvette looks good in white with black wheels.

The yellow Corvette features the Z51 package which includes larger wheels, larger brakes, aero package, ride control and much more.

A big thank you goes out to Rydell Chevrolet for making this photo shoot possible. Al Azmon, a sales manager at the dealership owns the white Chevy Corvette from the photo shoot. The yellow Corvette, is owned by local customer, Denny Lesser, who just happened to purchase his Corvette from Rydell Chevrolet.

Below is the catalog cover shot in case you have not received your catalog copy in the mail yet.
