From Orange County to Las Vegas

This past Sunday I cruised down to Orange, Ca to spend the afternoon with my wife in Old Town Orange. I promised her a classic car free day...until we "happened" upon the annual Packard International Member's Meeting. I promised here I had no idea that it was taking place, but she didn't mind taking a detour through the car show and swap meet.

How about that? Right when we entered the event there was a custom California Car Cover on this very nice Packard shown below.

I picked up an old automotive repair manual for the garage.

The car show and swap meet had some cool parts and cars on display. It was different to see an event held exclusively for Packard enthusiasts, which made the show pretty unique.

After some time at the swap, it was off to downtown Orange. If you haven't been there, it is definitely worth checking out if you are into vintage merchandise and antiques. It is like going back in time and you would not realize you are just a few minutes from Anaheim and Disneyland.

I took a few photos of some unique items that I spotted while walking around downtown.

A store that was literally packed floor to ceiling with stuff.
After a day back at California Car Cover, I was back on the road again. I headed out to Las Vegas to check out the semi annual clothing trade shows.

Even though I was supposed to be checking out clothing for our retail store, I was distracted by the handful of cool motorcycles on display at the show.

Cool photo of classic cars in Los Angeles

Looks like the old Reebok pumps are coming back in style.

I was happy to find out that Capital Cities and Fitz and the Tantrums were playing a concert in Las Vegas while I was there. It was a really good show and I was glad to see both bands perform live.

This is the amazing sign that hangs in the men's room at The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan.

Capital Cities on stage.
Sorry that I did not have too many automotive adventures this week. Check back next week for new California Car Cover products for spring, coverage from the upcoming Pomona Swap Meet and much more. -Tony
