LAFD Charity Car Show: West Hills, Ca

After a great show at California Car Cover on Saturday, we were back at it on Sunday at the LAFD Charity Car Show in West Hills, Ca. So bright and early, the CCC crew and I set up a display booth. The annual car show is for a good cause as it raises funds for widows of fallen firefighters or firefighters injured on duty.

There were plenty of classic Chevys on display at the show. I even recognized a few of them from our Tri-Five Chevy Show on Saturday. I was happy to see a lot of Chevelle and Nova vehicles, so I was able to talk about our upcoming Nova & Chevelle event with them.

A pair of old Husky bikes.

This vehicle was the winner of the LAFD Car Show "Best in Show" award...Not really. It was the demo car that the LAFD used to demonstrate the Jaws of Life. The firefighters cut it to pieces during the show.

Plenty of trophies for the award winners.

There was a nice crowd at the business park in West Hills, Ca.

The award winners all lined up for photos and trophies at the end of the show.

The real Best of Show award winner was presented with a chrome plated axe courtesy of the LAFD which was pretty cool.
Follow along with California Car Cover on our blog to see where we will be next. This coming weekend we are hosting our Chevy Nova & Chevelle Show. It is the last event of the year at California Car Cover. The following day we will be at the Pomona Swap Meet.

  1. Loved the event. I visited the place for sometime and was amazed at seeing how much people have taken care of the oldest cars they ever had.

Good post, any videos of the event?
