Movember is Back at California Car Cover!

November is here, which means that for the next 30 days California Car Cover will be promoting Movember in our efforts to raise awareness for men's health issues.

For the past four years, California Car Cover has raised money (and grown some mustaches) for the Movember cause. It is a fun and easy way to get the conversation going about men's health concerns, such as prostate cancer and mental health.

"I have been a proud mustache grower for the past four years and kicked off Movember today, with a fresh face," said Tony DeFrank, California Car Cover's Executive Director and Chief Mustache Coordinator. "Movember is a great way to give back to a great cause and have fun while doing it."

To continue our fundraising efforts, California Car Cover will again be donating a portion of each sale of its "blue" Golden Shine Car Care products all November long to Movember. "We were able to raise $350 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation during October through the sale of our pink products, so hopefully we can do that for Movember," says DeFrank.

When anyone makes a purchase of our popular Golden Shine Sparkling Glaze Car Polish or Clear & Clear Glass Cleaner during November, California Car Cover will donate a portion of each sale to Movember.

This will be the forth year that Tony DeFrank and California Car Cover get involved with Movember. Basically, Movember asks men to start November clean shaven and grow a mustache all month long to raise awareness about men's health. It makes men walking billboards for the movement, as the mustaches become a interesting, funny, often concerning way to start a conversation about men's health issues, such as prostate cancer. Movember supports the National Prostate Cancer Foundation and Livestrong.

All month long, follow along with Tony DeFrank and California Car Cover on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter as Tony grows a mustache to spread the word. You can also check in at the official California Car Cover Movember page to see what's new or make a donation.

In addition this year, California Car Cover will be donating a portion of each sale of our "blue" products to the cause. For every bottle of our Golden Shine Clean & Clear Glass Cleaner or Sparkling Glaze Polish that is sold during November, we will make a contribution to Movember. "We are proud to be a part of Movember, yet again and I am glad to start growing my mustache once more," said Tony DeFrank, California Car Cover's Executive Director. "Everyone has been asking me when the mustache is coming back and Movember is here, so it is time."

For the past few years, California Car Cover has been a proud supporter of Movember. We can usually count on a few sales associates to start growing a mustache for a good cause. Movember raises awareness about men's health, specifically prostate cancer. You can get more details on their website.
We have some special promotions that will be running all month long for customers that support Movember. Love California Car Cover? Show your support. For $1 donation to Movember, you will receive a California Car Cover and Golden Shine decal for your car or garage. They are in our showroom ready to pick up. We will be matching any money collected during the month.

Also, any walk-in customer that is growing a mustache for Movember or already has an awesome mustache will receive 10% off their in-store purchase. The Catch: Let us take a photo of you and your mustache for this blog to promote Movember. We know people can be bashful (even if you are growing a mustache all month), but it is for a good cause.

CCC Gives Back

We have a lot of fun working at California Car Cover and the holidays let us have a chance to give back to the community. November means Thanksgiving is near and Christmas is just around the corner. It also means that it is officially, Movember. Movember is a charity has been around since 2003. It raises awareness on prostate cancer and proudly supports the LIVESTRONG Foundation and the Prostate Cancer Foundation. California Car Cover has been a supporter of the cause since last year. Basically, men try to raise awareness, and funds, by growing a moustache all month long. California Car Cover is also a proud supporter of Friends & Helpers, a local charity that assists victims of domestic violence. We will be hosting a toy drive for the organization through December 3rd to collect toys for the children in families affected by abuse.
