Our Visit to MONA: Glendale's Museum of Neon Art

Our friends the Pep Boys greet you as you enter MONA.
On a recent Saturday afternoon, we cruised over to Brand Blvd. in Glendale to check out MONA. We love pretty much anything related to vintage SoCal culture, so when we heard about MONA we had to pay it a visit. MONA is the Museum of Neon Art and its located in Glendale, Ca not too far of a drive from the California Car Cover headquarters.

MONA focuses on the preservation and restoration of vintage neon signs that used to cover the south land. Anyone that grew up in the area will definitely recognize some of the glowing neon signs on display. The small museum showcases their most recent acquisitions and projects.

The museum has an on site restoration center that also hosts classes on neon sign repair and design. In just a few weeks, MONA will be hosting a reception for the debut of The Brown Derby neon sign that is their most recent project. Details about that event are on the MONA website.
