1967 Chevy Nova From Our November Catalog

We traditionally select red or green vehicles to feature on the November and December catalog covers to maintain a Christmas feel. I was at a local show looking for a cool, red vehicle for one of the California Car Cover catalogs when I came across a very cool 1967 Chevy Nova. I have been a big fan of the Chevy Nova for many years and have one at home in my garage, though it is not as trick as this one.
The car owner, Ricky Woolstenhulme, and I began talking and scheduled a time for him to bring the car over to the studio. I thought the Viper Red paint would look great on our catalog cover. I was glad that we could fit the photo shoot into his schedule as he is on the road quite a bit. Ricky plays drums in the rock band Lifehouse and is often on tour.
Here are some of the photos from the time at our studio. The Chevy Nova has a small block Chevy engine, Ride Tech air ride, Viper Red paint and large Billet Specialties wheels.

Thank you to Ricky for stopping by the studio with the Nova. For more photos of this vehicle, and all the vehicles featured on our holiday catalogs, please see our Facebook or Flickr page.

Mopar Fall Fling and Pomona Swap Meet

I had another double show weekend that included the CPW Fall Fling and Pomona Swap Meet. Here are some photo highlights from the events.
Chrysler Performance West puts on a pair of great events for Mopar enthusiasts each year. The Fall Fling is a show and shine event with a nice swap meet for people to pick up hard to find Dodge, Chrysler and Plymouth parts. It was the first time that California Car Cover and I set up at the show and I had a good time.

I did not have a lot of time to check out all the classics in the car show, but I did take a quick lap and snapped some photos of the cars.

There were plenty of Dodge and Plymouth vehicles from the 1940s up until today, with a large group of new Dodge Challenger owners on hand.

The show attracted all sorts of classic Mopars, from wagons to muscle cars and vans to customs.

Once the sun came out, a lot of people showed up at Woodley Park. There were hundreds of cars to check out and plenty of shade.

The next morning it was off to the Pomona Swap Meet. California Car Cover has exhibited here for well over twenty years. It is a great chance to talk to long time customers and sell some car covers.
The show was pretty busy so I did not have many chances to take photos, but I took these photos in the For Sale section near our booth.

Roamin' Relics Car Show: Moorpark, Ca

After a fun time at the VW Oktoberfest event in Big Bear on Saturday, I was off to Moorpark, Ca to assist the California Car Cover crew on Sunday. The Annual Roamin' Relics Car Show in downtown Moorpark was over the weekend and we always look forward to this event.

There was a nice group of classic cars lining both side of High Street in Moorpark. It is a great venue for the car show. The weather was great and it brought out a lot of people.

The Roamin' Relics show always attracts a variety of collector cars. Whether you like customs, muscle cars, hot rods or classics, the show had it all.

The registration and raffle tents.

High Street was full of people all day long.

This pickup might need some paint, but it was dust free thanks to the very old car duster sitting on the cowl.

At the end of the day, the top 10 winners were all presented with trophies and a Golden Shine car care kit courtesy of California Car Cover.
