Movember Mustache Fun at California Car Cover

For the past few years, California Car Cover has been a proud supporter of Movember. We can usually count on a few sales associates to start growing a mustache for a good cause. Movember raises awareness about men's health, specifically prostate cancer. You can get more details on their website.
We have some special promotions that will be running all month long for customers that support Movember. Love California Car Cover? Show your support. For $1 donation to Movember, you will receive a California Car Cover and Golden Shine decal for your car or garage. They are in our showroom ready to pick up. We will be matching any money collected during the month.

Also, any walk-in customer that is growing a mustache for Movember or already has an awesome mustache will receive 10% off their in-store purchase. The Catch: Let us take a photo of you and your mustache for this blog to promote Movember. We know people can be bashful (even if you are growing a mustache all month), but it is for a good cause.
"Movember is a lot of fun for our employees and friends. Plus, we get to give back and offer a discount to our 'stache loving customers. We're glad to show off some interesting facial hair all November in support of the event," says Tony DeFrank, California Car Cover's Executive Director and Mustache Owner.

Happy Halloween from California Car Cover

Have a Happy and Safe Halloween from California Car Cover. To get in the Movember spirit, that is my hand carved mustache pumpkin. It will be greeting all trick or treaters this evening.

We have been supporting Movember for 3 years and will be coming up with some fun stuff for our local customers. For more information on California Car Cover's Movember activities, please visit our Movember page or main website.

Santa Barbara Worldwide Classics

I had a weekend in the Los Angeles area before heading up to SEMA this coming week, so I thought I would drive up to Santa Barbara for the Worldwide Classics Car Show. It was a two day event over the weekend. I could not stick around for the Concours d'Elegance on Sunday, but here are some photo highlights from the classics show on Saturday.
There was a nice variety of American and European vehicles on display. The show was held at the Santa Barbara Polo Club which was a nice venue for the event.

The featured vehicles at the show were the tribute cars from the North American Mille Miglia. A group of drivers cruised along the beautiful California coast in historic automobiles in celebration of the Mille Miglia, a legendary Italian endurance race.

This is the Jaguar that I spotted on the way to the show in the morning.

Chevy Corvette

The show brought together a mix of British, Italian and American automobiles.

California Car Cover was not exhibiting at the show, but it was a nice event to check out for the morning. You really do not need an excuse to drive up to Santa Barbara on a Saturday morning as it is a great area.
Now it is off to SEMA for the California Car Cover crew and me so check back next week for cool products and vehicles from the show.

Wings, Wheels and Rotors in Los Alamitos

California Car Cover was not exhibiting at any shows over the weekend, so I thought I would cruise down to Los Alamitos, Ca on Sunday for the annual Wings, Wheels and Rotors Expo. It is held at the Army Airfield. Above is a photo of me from the show. (I am the one on the right).
I had not been down to the expo before and it was a pretty nice event. The armed forces shows are usually good events for the family because there are a lot of things to see other than classic cars. There were plenty of planes, helicopters and demonstrations going on all day.

Even though the event was held at the Los Alamitos Airfield there were still plenty of classic cars on hand as part of the car show.

The collection of model air crafts was pretty impressive too.

It was a nice event on a beautiful day in Southern California. Keep coming back for more event coverage. I am at a car show or unique automotive event just about every weekend and I will post highlights here, on the official California Car Cover blog.
